Could a modern office building be functional, sustainable and inspiring at the same time? This was the question explored by participants of the Giant Invest Business Brunch – an event held on 27 October at the Giant space in Poznań.

The event brought together representatives of Poznań real estate agencies, investment management companies, developers and commercial property brokers. It was an opportunity to learn more about Giant – its history, architecture, technical standard and the solutions that contribute to the comfort and efficiency of using the building.

One of the key topics discussed during the event was the sustainable solutions implemented at Giant, confirmed by a BREEAM Very Good certification. Participants learned about solutions related to energy efficiency, responsible use of resources and water, as well as a responsible approach to building management. They also had the opportunity to see examples of furnished office spaces used by tenants.

The event also featured additional attractions prepared by its partners. MB MOTORS POZNAŃ presented the latest Mercedes-Benz GLC and EQB models, while the raw parking space provided an opportunity to take a closer look at the solutions used in the vehicles. pARTs jewelry, meanwhile, presented original jewellery by Anna Orska, inspired, among other things, by elements taken from Volvo cars.

The Giant Invest Business Brunch was not only an opportunity to present the development, but also to bring together people connected with Poznań’s real estate market and business community.

TopBuilder is one of the recognised awards in the Polish construction market, presented to projects, products and solutions that stand out within the industry. Each edition recognises, among others, investors, developers, general contractors, manufacturers and architectural practices.

For Giant, the award recognised the building design prepared by CDF Architekci. It is a recognition of a concept that combines modern architecture with the functionality of office space and attention to the people who use it.

Today, Giant is an example of how a consistently designed space can combine distinctive architecture, workplace comfort and solutions that respond to the needs of modern business.

The TopBuilder award is another recognition of the quality of a project that, from the very beginning, was designed to serve both companies and the people who use the building every day.

A modern office building in harmony with the environment

A conscious approach to office design increasingly means more than aesthetics and functionality. Energy efficiency, the quality of materials, water and waste management, and the impact of the building on its surroundings are also becoming increasingly important.

At Giant, these solutions were incorporated from the design stage. The modern construction and technologies used make it possible to manage resources responsibly while creating a comfortable and welcoming working environment. The building was assessed, among other things, in terms of energy efficiency, the quality of the construction materials used, waste management and efficient water consumption.

The BREEAM Very Good certification confirms that the building meets specific environmental and operational standards. BREEAM is a building assessment system that takes into account, among other factors, a property’s environmental impact, efficiency and the comfort of the people using it.

Greenery as part of the space

The eco-friendly approach at Giant does not end with the building itself. The green surroundings are an important part of the entire development.

Walking around the office building, you can find solutions that support local biodiversity, such as insect hotels and bat boxes. They are complemented by numerous plantings, pollinator-friendly plants and ornamental grasses, creating a natural, green setting around the office building.

Greenery can also be found in less obvious places – at the entrance to the underground car park and on the embankment alongside the building façade. This means that natural elements are present not only in the representative areas of the complex, but form a cohesive part of the entire space.

The courtyard plays a particularly important role in the Giant concept, with its design complemented by extensive planting. Greenery can also be found on the terraces and rooftops of the office building, creating additional natural spaces within the development.

The combination of greenery with Giant’s modern, distinctive architecture creates an interesting contrast – the building’s raw form is softened by a more natural and welcoming setting.
